Annual Seva Day — 5th March

A Birthday Tradition of Service

Every year on 5th March — the birthday of Suryanarayan — Suryashakti Mahila Seva Samiti transforms a personal celebration into community service. This is our signature annual program.

Society Founded — Year Zero

Suryashakti Mahila Seva Samiti formally constituted on 5th March 2022 under the Societies Registration Act, IGR Cuttack, Odisha. Smt. Puspanjali Pradhan (MSW) elected as Founder & President. Governing body of 7 women members formed.

05 March 2023 — 1st Annual Seva Day

Free Medical Health Camp & Community Meal

On the 1st birthday of Suryanarayan, a free medical health camp was organised at Korua providing health checkups, free medicines, and nutritional guidance. A community meal (bhoji) was arranged for all participants — sharing the joy of celebration with the community.

05 March 2024 — 2nd Annual Seva Day

Free Tailoring Training for 18 Women & Girls

On the 2nd birthday of Suryanarayan, a free vocational tailoring training program was conducted for 18 women and girls from Korua and nearby villages. Participants received hands-on training in tailoring with all materials provided free of cost — equipping them with a marketable skill for self-reliance.
