From managing a full-fledged college to grassroots community initiatives — every program is designed to create lasting, meaningful change in the lives of women and communities across Kendrapara.
Our programs span education, vocational training, health, scholarships, leadership development, and community welfare — each pillar reinforcing the others.
The Samiti manages and oversees Suryashakti Institute of Science, Commerce & Technology (SISCAT), a higher education institution established in 2012 in Korua, Kendrapara. SISCAT provides quality college-level education to hundreds of rural students who might otherwise lack access.
Under Samiti governance, SISCAT maintains strong academic standards, transparent admission processes, and an active student support system including an online student portal.
Many women in rural Kendrapara have limited access to formal employment due to lack of vocational skills and training opportunities. Our Skill Development program bridges this gap by offering practical, market-relevant training that enables women to earn a livelihood.
Training is conducted in batches with experienced instructors, and participants receive certificates on completion.
Financial barriers should never stop a deserving student from pursuing their dreams. The SMSS Scholarship Program identifies meritorious students from economically weaker backgrounds and facilitates their access to scholarships — both government and private.
We assist with documentation, application, and follow-up — making sure no eligible student misses out due to lack of information or bureaucratic challenges.
Health literacy is a prerequisite for community wellbeing. Many rural families in Kendrapara lack awareness about preventive health, nutrition, and maternal care. Our Health Awareness Program brings this knowledge directly to homes and communities.
We organise camps, workshops, and door-to-door awareness drives in collaboration with government health schemes like Poshan Abhiyan and ASHA workers.
True empowerment means women leading — in families, institutions, and governance. Our Women Leadership Program equips women with the confidence, knowledge, and skills to lead at every level.
We collaborate with Mission Shakti SHGs, Panchayati Raj institutions, and district authorities to train women for active participation in decision-making processes.
Community Development is the thread that connects all our programs. We work to strengthen the social fabric of Korua and surrounding villages in Kendrapara through cultural programs, environmental awareness, and collaboration with government schemes.
We act as a bridge between communities and the government — ensuring that schemes like NREGA, PM Awas Yojana, and Ujjwala Yojana reach the people who need them most.
